Urdu Teacher

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Urdu Teacher to join our school community and inspire young learners to develop proficiency in the Urdu language. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of Urdu, a creative teaching approach, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment for students in grades 1 through 5.

Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development: Design a comprehensive and age-appropriate Urdu curriculum that focuses on developing students’ speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension skills in Urdu language.
2. Lesson Planning: Develop well-structured lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles, utilizing interactive methods, stories, and activities to make learning Urdu enjoyable and effective.
3. Language Proficiency: Foster students’ proficiency in Urdu grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and comprehension through interactive lessons and practical exercises.
4. Reading and Writing Skills: Encourage a love for Urdu literature by introducing students to age-appropriate Urdu texts, stories, and poetry, while also guiding them to improve their creative writing skills in Urdu.
5. Cultural Awareness: Introduce students to Urdu culture, traditions, and values, fostering an appreciation for the rich cultural heritage associated with the language.
6. Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Develop assessments, quizzes, and assignments to gauge students’ progress and comprehension of Urdu language skills. Provide constructive feedback to aid in their improvement.
7. Individualized Support: Identify individual learning needs and provide additional support and resources to students who require extra assistance.
8. Classroom Environment: Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation, respectful interactions, and a passion for learning Urdu.
9. Parent Communication: Maintain open communication with parents or guardians, updating them on students’ language development, progress, and areas for growth.
10. Integration of Technology: Integrate technological tools, digital resources, and multimedia to enhance the teaching and learning of Urdu.
11. Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow educators and school staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience and contribute to the overall development of the institution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Urdu, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proficiency in spoken and written Urdu.
• Teaching certification or credentials.
• Proven experience in teaching Urdu to students in grades 1-5.
• Excellent communication skills in Urdu and English.
• Patience, empathy, and effective classroom management skills.
• Ability to make learning Urdu engaging and enjoyable.
• Familiarity with technology for enhancing language instruction.
